The school I’m choosing next year would be Galileo High school because my friends are going there and because it was the nearest school that I heard of. The school is located at Fisherman’s Wharf like where Francisco Middle School is. They have alot of sports to play like track, football and baseball and also some sports we haven’t played in Francisco Middle School like wrestling, fencing and golfing. For people who want to learn a language like French or Mandarin they can take a language program to learn these languages like French, Mandarin, Spanish and Cantonese. However there are downsides like everything in life like having to wake up at early 8:00 am. Also they have school-wide surveillance where there are lots of security cameras everywhere. What can they change is add later school start times

Raoul Wallenberg High School is located 40 Vega Street in San Francisco, CA. It’s school holds 639 students, that’s almost almost the same amount as Francisco, that would make the school a pretty small school. The school has many things that other schools have, but it's just a smaller school. The school has many good arts to choose from if you would like to do any type of art. If your into any sports or want to try any new sports, the school gives 14 different sports. Before, Wallenberg was first an elementary school when it was first built. In 1981, the school became an official high school.
The school could improve on more academic things, or more interesting academics things for students to choose from. Such as in their language program, they only have Mandarin and Spanish; while other schools have Japanese, French, and many more. Maybe those are just improvements that I’ve seen high school may need, and Wallenberg doesn’t have. Overall the school seem like any other high school, especially if you’d like to be in a smaller school, unlike Washington or Galileo. Galileo High School is school right next to Francisco Middle School. It is a high school of about 2,000 students. I’ve heard that it is one of the best high schools in the state. It is on Bay and Polk st. They only allow 9-12 graders. The principal of the school is Tami Benau. They have about 180 staff to help out those 2,000 students. It's one of the 11 high schools in San Francisco. You can go tour them if you call them at (415)-749-3430. The school can improve by choosing the best students instead of having so many students. The school has way to many students and that it is now hard for middle school students to get into it.
Thinking of a high school? Don’t know where to go or apply to yet? Well there are many SFUSD high schools in San Francisco to choose from. After reading this article, I hope you learned information from this school that you didn’t know before because I certainly did and maybe consider this a choice for you.
Washington High School is a public high school and because of that, you don't have to pay tuition to go there. Washington High School is located at 600 32nd Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94121. The neighborhood of SF it is in is at Outer Richmond. School starts at 7:30 am to 3:16 pm. If you attend Washington, you can choose to attend honors and A.P. classes. A.P stands for advanced placing, so if you are really good at one subject, you can take a more advanced class. Washington HS has a variety of sports you can choose from if you´re thinking of joining one. You can take drama, orchestra, choir, and many more. They have student support programs, if you are familiar with avid, that is one. Students might be interested in coming to Washington HS because it might have classes or electives that other schools might not have. Washington HS provides AP classes, college programs, and art programs which might be different from a lot of schools. Washington High School can improve on adding on programs that they might not already have already. If thereś not enough AP classes for students, they should add more AP classes. I also personally think that high schools shouldn't start as early from 7 am because many students might have already adapted to waking up and getting to school by 9, or whenever their middle schools and elementary schools starts (ed). So by the time high school comes, students might have trouble waking up at a certain, earlier time. It would be especially harder for students who live a bit farther away and have to ride the bus to school because they might have to wake up at 5 or 6 am. So if they can, you should improve on when the school starts. |
