The SSC is the School Site Council. The chairman of the SCC is John Kuang. The two Head Representatives are: Crystal Li, and Christian Perez Ibarra. The two Alternatives Representatives are: Sarah Knight-Weiss, and Abigail Lin.
-Christian The first thing you can try to do is to work at a quiet place. You can go to the library which provides wifi and computers. Which is really convenient for students who don’t have access.
The second tip is like to get all the distractions away. Like for example, if you’re phone is right in front of you when you’re doing homework or anything related to work, you’re most likely going to at least go on your phone once or have tension to touch it. Whenever I´m doing homework and I have my phone out, I always take a break to go on social media or something. And the last tip is to not procrastinate. If you say you will do homework in ten minutes, do it in ten minutes. Or you will probably forget or do it like an hour later. Like if you have a project, don’t just wait to do it last minute. Do it earlier instead of avoiding last minute rush. -Karen I personally think that this school lacks events. For example, what we did in Fall Fest was boring, all we did was just go to the yard, dance or watch a movie. I think that there should be a group of people who could organize events. There should be different booths and kids could use their money to buy tickets in order to participate in the booths activity.
We should also have more fundraisers for the school and the students can organize it to raise money to host the events. Just like when I was in six grade, the eight graders had a bake sale. I think having fundraisers would be a positive thing for students to do and it’s also for a good cause. -Yanki Middle School might seem like a scary place because it might be something new that you are experiencing. Well, middle school is like any new school, everything might be new such as new faces, and new ways of doing things. From my personal experience, middle school was definitely something new for me. As school went on, things got better and things got a lot easier. I started getting the hang of things and how middle school works. One of the hardest thing I think 6th graders go through is switching form class to class, because back in Elementary school, everything happened in 1 or 2 classrooms. Your schedules will take you a little time to remember but other than that middle school isn’t that much different than Elementary school.
-Kathy Last week at Francisco Middle School is Healthy Rams Week. Healthy Rams Week is when there is one activity you can participate in, at lunch. These activities include Pledge Day, Drug Free, Wheel Trivia, Awareness Day + Pig Lungs, and Red Ribbon Jeopardy. When students participate, they recivice a ram ticket, and these events were happening in the lower yard at lunch.
-Kathy Formal Friday is a day where you have to dress up formally and debate with other students in your class. It happens every 2 weeks on a friday but it always cancels and moves to another day and schedule. You have to wear a tie and a polo/collar shirt. They have extras in the closet if you do not have any formal clothes. You usually debate about the book Touching Spirit Bear or other subjects you are on. There is a circle formed with 10 debaters.
-Roan There are many ways for you to be the teacher's favorite so i'm going to tell you some.First you would want to sit with people in class that don't really talk or scream at the teacher and that will actually do their work. Because if you sit with the people that do scream in class then the teacher might assume you do the same. You will also have to do your work or else you will get bad grades and you don't want that sister , and if you do have bad grades just buy your teacher some food or get them some advil so they don't complain about how the class is so loud and it gives them headaches.I hope you take my advice .
-Mitzumi I think that Dress Code is a very important thing but we should not exaggerate , i understand that girls should not show a lot of skin at school because it's not appropriate but when you get in trouble for showing a lot of your knee and some of your shoulders i think that's a little bit too much exaggeration. But i also agree on not showing half your leg and not to sag at school , there is such thing as a belt.
